Title: Account Supervisor
What I do at EnviroMedia:
I manage and oversee our Water IQ program for the North Texas Municipal
Water District and the Green Living in Plano campaign. Previously, I managed
the VOTEXAS statewide initiative, which was developed through the Help
America Vote Act educating people on the voting process and their rights.
I also worked on a mental health counseling program for people affected
by Hurricane Katrina in Texas called Lone Star Spirit.
My life before EnviroMedia, in 50 words or less:
I’m originally from McAllen, Texas, went to St. John’s for
high school in Houston, graduated with a BBA in marketing from Southern
Methodist University in Dallas (clearly, a Texas guy). I worked for GSD&M
advertising for over five years on accounts such as SBC, Brinker International
and Charles Schwab.
I work at EnviroMedia because:
It’s satisfying leaving work everyday knowing you’ve made
the world a better place.
The celebrity I admire most is:
Leslie for her/his tenacity.
My most recent “brush with fame” was:
Working out with Sandra Bullock and Jesse James.
The issue I’m most passionate about is:
Water. With a growing demand, people need to understand the need to conserve.
My most memorable moment at EnviroMedia is:
Being told I look like baby Jesus. [Editor's note: He does.]
The accomplishment I’m most proud of at EnviroMedia is:
Launching the comprehensive statewide VOTEXAS campaign, which included
broadcast, media planning and outreach.
If I could be anywhere else at the moment, I would be:
Scuba diving in Koh Nanguyan off the coast of Thailand.
If I could be someone (or something) else for a day, I would be:
Ski instructor (always in great shape and living in the mountains).
If I could enact one new law it would be:
Mandatory summer vacations. Oh, and equal rights for ALL humans.
My favorite Web sites are:
weather.com
cnn.com
eonline.com
autotrader.com
hotwire.com
In my spare time I enjoy:
Friends, family, spending time at my farm, tennis, running around Town
Lake, gardening, admiring architecture and design.
My most impressive “cocktail party line” about myself would
be:
“Did you know that I was almost killed by a shark?”
