Art Director

When it comes to making the world a better place to live, change starts here at EnviroMedia Social Marketing. We’re looking for a junior- to mid-level art director who thinks like a seasoned pro and can join our team in doing great work for good causes. You might have only a couple of years under your belt or your talents may be muffled in a big shop, but with us, you’ll have opportunity to concept, create and regularly see your work produced. EnviroMedia has made a commitment to taking our creative product to the next level. Our recently hired CD, Doug Irving, is ready to mentor you and help you deliver outstanding work across all media in an atmosphere that demands great ideas, but also believes in work/life balance.

Bring us a strong portfolio demonstrating your conceptual work and art direction. Show us you’ve got hands-on experience creating comps for preso and prepping files for release to publications.

Experience required: 2-4 years as an advertising agency art director; alternately, a degree from a creatively-oriented college or professional advertising program. Fluency in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign a must. Design skills a plus. Spanish-language proficiency sweetens the deal.

Account Supervisor

Required: Five to seven years of progressively responsible agency experience, including profitably managing account budgets of at least $500K, special events planning and execution, media relations, outreach coordination, and coordination of all aspects of print and broadcast campaign elements. You must also have a demonstrated ability to make persuasive presentations, proven knowledge of current advertising and public relations concepts and tactics, as well as effective training and coaching skills. Bachelor’s degree in advertising, public relations, communications or like field also required.

Responsibilities will include creating and executing long-range strategic plans for clients, developing and implementing branding campaigns, and managing all work performed on assigned accounts, including supervision of junior staff. You will supervise monthly billing and budgeting for assigned accounts. You also will participate in all phases of new business development.

Account Executive

EnviroMedia Social Marketing is seeking an account executive who will set the standard for client relations, who possesses a clear understanding of how to develop and maintain trust, and who will provide superior strategic advice. If you care deeply about the kind of clients and campaigns you work with, this is the job for you. You must be passionate about creating a world where everyone is passionate about keeping the planet and its people healthy.

The ideal candidate must have three to five years of progressively responsible agency experience, including new media projects, special events planning and execution, media relations, outreach coordination, and coordination of all aspects of print and broadcast campaign elements. You must also demonstrate your proven ability to plan and manage accurate project budgets and timelines, as well as to meet deadlines. The successful candidate must exhibit excellent presentation, writing and customer service skills. You should be the kind of account executive clients fall in love with. A bachelor’s degree in advertising, public relations, communications or a similar field is also a must.

Responsibilities include executing strategic plans for clients and implementing branding campaigns under the supervision of senior staff.

Junior Copywriter

As a writer at EnviroMedia Social Marketing, you’ll contribute every day to comprehensive campaigns, including print, outdoor, TV, radio, interactive and experiential marketing for a variety of environmental and public health clients.

If you can deliver outstanding, strategically spot-on creative concepts and employ savvy copywriting skills, we’d love to see your work. You must be a team player who is comfortable working with an AD, yet have no qualms about going solo on some assignments. You’ll be expected to present and proof your own work, so excellent spelling and grammar skills a must. Radio writing skills a plus. System Administrator

EnviroMedia is seeking a smart, dedicated system administrator with strong Mac/Windows hardware and software experience, operating on a server/client infrastructure. The position will work independently in a creative atmosphere, reporting directly to the executive team. Our network of 30-60 computers and a variety of hardware needs an expert who can solve problems quickly, while keeping an eye on future needs.

Preferred experience:

  • Strong Mac/Windows Hardware and Software experience, operating on a Server/ Client infrastructure
  • Windows 2003 Server Administration (Active Directory, DNS, Computer and User management)
  • Mac OS 10.4, 10.5 server experience
  • Background in supporting design applications, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Extensive experience in implementing and managing advanced backup solutions in a small- to medium-sized office environment with a mixed network of Macs and PCs
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of equivalent experience as a System Administrator. Marketing/advertising agency experience preferred

Also a plus:

  • Experience with Meeting Maker, SQL, PHP, Apache or with eSilent Partner and Arbitron Media Software

You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment, while working independently as an internal service bureau.

Internships for Summer 2008

Internships are available at EnviroMedia Social Marketing for passionate, dependable students.

Interns at EnviroMedia gain hands-on experience and the opportunity to interact in all facets of the business. Working under the guidance of experienced professionals you will learn the skills needed to excel in an agency environment. Interested students should have an eager desire to learn and demonstrate strong organizational and writing skills.

EnviroMedia offers internships in account service, media and creative services. You must be available to work at least three days per week for a total of 12 to 15 hours. Internships are unpaid, but you may seek course credit through your college or university.
