Each May, we send spring interns out into the world with new social marketing skills and welcome summer interns to learn the ways of EnviroMedia.
During the transition, we open up the Enviroblog to our interns to share what they learned and offer a peek into what the agency and the work we do looks like from their perspective.
The thing that I’m going to take away most from EnviroMedia is the support and advice I’ve been given. Having four media planners help me out whenever I have a question has helped me grow quickly.
At first, it was questions about how to enter invoices and how to properly call radio station reps. As graduation approaches, they have been helping me with more general advice: how to handle reps when you are trying to get a lower price and how to be a better media planner overall.
I’m currently working on one of my favorite projects here. The media team is presenting to the rest of the agency at an EnviroU — an educational brownbag lunch — about emerging media. It has been really fun to research things that I find fascinating. I’ve been looking into marketing on Pinterest, shifting from TV to online viewing, the transformation of mobile and much more. I look forward to having the opportunity to present my research to the rest of the agency and spread knowledge about all the new possibilities in advertising.
Although I got my dream job of working in Brand Media at the Richards Group, I am going to miss my experience and the people I have met here.
