EnviroMedia Announces New Vice President

For Immediate Release: October 4, 2011


AUSTIN, Texas — EnviroMedia Social Marketing named Tamala Barksdale vice president. Barksdale has 15 years of marketing experience and has been a member of the EnviroMedia team since 2000. Formerly the director of marketing, Barksdale managed EnviroMedia’s experiential marketing department and public relations strategies. Barksdale is the elected District 9 Trustee for the Austin Independent School District.

EnviroMedia is growing and has also added creative and account service staff:

Gus Higuera is EnviroMedia’s new associate creative director/interactive. He comes from Honolulu, Hawaii, where he was creative director for Ikayzo, Inc. and worked with Warner Bros, NBC/Universal, EA Games, Activision, Nautica, MGM, General Motors and XPrize. Higuera is also a comic book writer published by Image and DC Comics.


Rob Borowski is now director of EnviroMedia’s sister company, Green Canary Sustainability Consulting. Borowski has been immersed in environmental issues for more than 20 years as coordinator for the Environmental Science Institute, assistant director for University of Texas’ Center for Sustainable Development, coordinator of the Clean Texas program at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the first manager for environmental affairs at HEB.


Trishia Daniel is a new senior account executive and comes from Enfatico, where she worked on the Dell account.
